Until October 6th: Relive the 30's in style at Villa Empain

Looking for a stylish activity for one of the upcoming weekends? Search no more. Villa Empain offers a unique experience with the exhibition Flamboyant. You can visit it until the 6th of October.

Villa Empain is an art deco villa in Brussels that was built in 1931. The current exhibition Flamboyant recreates the vibe of the roaring thirties. The exhibit invites visitors into the home of a fictional collector from the 1920s and 1930s. You really feel like you are visiting someone's home and are taking a trip back in time. You can even look at the wardrobe of the lady of the house (always interesting for fashionistas). Be sure not to stay inside but to also visit the pool area. You don't need a lot of imagination to see a perfect Great Gatsby party happening at this Villa.

Before visiting the exhibit we had a delicious lunch at the pop-up restaurant in the villa. Tip: have the Pavlova as dessert. If you want to have lunch it is best to make reservations. You can also buy tickets for the exhibit in advance, so you don't have to wait in line.

Also be sure to dress the part because there are beautiful photo opportunities. Btw: you can take your handbag inside with you when visiting the exhibition - I always want to know this in advance :-)
