A report in pictures: Marc Jacobs Tweet Shop in Amsterdam

Bij Marc Jacobs beseffen ze dat social media de toekomst zijn - denk maar aan de vacature voor social media expert en zelfs modellen die het label al lanceerde op Twitter. In februari opende Marc Jacobs bovendien een Tweet Pop-up Shop in New York om de Daisy-parfums te promoten. Amsterdam ontving dit leuke initiatief als tweede gaststad. Dat kon je eerder al in een blogpost lezen. Zondag bezocht ik er de Marc Jacobs Tweet Shop in De Bijenkorf met Sandra van www.morestylethanfashion.com. Als echte modebloggers hadden we beiden een fleurige outfit aangetrokken, ondanks de regenwolken boven de stad.

At Marc Jacobs they know social media are the future - remember the job campaign for a social media expert and even for models that the label launched on Twitter. In February Marc Jacobs even opened a Tweet Pop-up Store in New York to promote the Daisy perfumes. Amsterdam was the second city to host this great initiative at 'De Bijenkorf', as you could read in my previous blogpost. I visited the pop-up store on Sunday with Sandra from www.morestylethanfashion.com. As true fashion bloggers we both put on an appropriate outfit in spite of the rain clouds above the city.

In de fleurige pop-up store vol 'daisies' (van de echte bloemen tot de parfums) betaalde je met tweets met de hashtag #MJDaisyChainAMS. Iedereen die tweette, kreeg een leuk geschenkje en elk uur waren er ook winnaars van een grotere prijs. Eventjes werd mijn Twitter-account overspoeld door de vele foto's. Sandra was de eerste winnaar met een superleuke foto. Twee uur later was ik de gelukkige. Ik won een leuke make-up pouch en maar liefst 100 ml Daisy.

In the pop-up store filled with daisies (from real flowers to the actual perfume) you paid with tweets using the hashtag #MJDaisyChainAMS. Everybody who tweeted got a nice present and each hour there were winners that got a bigger prize. For a few hours my Twitter account was overflowing with the fun pictures. Sandra was the first winner of the day with her great picture. Two hours later I was the lucky one. I won a cute make-up pouch and 100 ml of Daisy perfume.

Ook in Londen was er in augustus een Marc Jacobs Tweet Shop. Misschien is België als volgende aan de beurt. Ik kan een bezoekje zeker aanbevelen...en ik ga zelf ook zeker terug!

A third Marc Jacobs Tweet Shop opened in London this August. Maybe Belgium will be the next city to get this unique experience. Fingers crossed! I can surely recommend a visit...and will go myself again too.
